PDC COURSE RESCUE DIVER

For all divers Rescue skills are important. At Puffin Dive Centre the RESCUE DIVER Course develops all the Rescue skills you would need in the unlikely event of a diving incident, ensuring your own and your diving buddy's diving is safer and more rewarding. The Puffin Dive Centre course consists of a series of academic sessions with twelve training scenarios that continue to build up from a basic level until you are skilled and confident to carry out and manage appropriate requirements during a diving incident. During the course and probably for the first time you learn to focus on other divers and their safety as well as your own. With the emphasis on prevention you are taken through all the most common problems, shown what to look for, how to prevent the problem and how to rectify the fault so it should not happen again. Observation and recognition of potential areas of failure allow a degree of prediction and likely outcome. Honing these intuitive skills is part of the process of becoming a more instinctively safe diver.

Prior to the RESCUE Course the EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE Course is a mandatory part of your pre start course work. This stand alone course covers a variety of training requirements including basic First Aid and CPR. It is a necessary primer for the course.
