The PADI Deep Diver Course
After your first few scuba dives, you soon want to explore a bit deeper. There's something exciting and mysterious about the depth that attracts dives Some of the UK's most exciting dive sites are found just below 30 metres. Take for example, a dive site called Bo Fascadale in the Small Isles which stretches to more than 100 metres. Some of the best areas of this wall lie between 30 and 35 metres where nooks and crannies in the boulder structures are teeming with a huge variety of sea life and shining your torch against a rocky overhang will show masses of jewel anemones.
There are plenty of deep wrecks to explore like the Altair - our "in house" wreck! The Altair starts at 36 metes & although she is only a small fishing boat she is a great wreck to explore! Plenty of reasons to consider a Deep Diving course at PDC - and here are a few more: at PDC, we can often incorporate boat or wreck diving into our two day Deep Diving course, allowing you to learn under "real" conditions.
We don't go for half measures at Puffin Dive Centre - diving is taught one-to-one in the water, the course is carried out over 2 days and always includes 4 dives (although the course can be taught with only 3 dives if you are Advanced certified).
Some dive centres only take you to 30 meters on your deep course; we reach the maximum depth of 39.9m as we take you to dive some great cliff walls like Ard-Na-Cuille.
If you haven't got your own kit yet, we can provide full equipment rental, including a range of drysuits to fit all male & female sizes.
Still not convinced? How about additional diving days free of charge? At PDC we believe it's crucial that you put your new skills to the test and practice as much as possible. Once your course has finished, you get to keep your rental kit free of charge for another day and we will provide one of our staff divers as a buddy, giving you extra diving on top of your course.
